The extension program in our lab entails listening to Michigan vegetable growers’ concerns, conducting research on these issues in the lab or field, then conveying our results back to the growers and helping implement new findings in their production. We are often involved in on-farm research and collaborate with extension educators on many projects. Education on vegetable IPM is an essential part of the extension program, and we do it at grower meetings, through newsletters, websites and the Great Lakes Expo.
