Jeremy Jubenville has officially accepted a position in the vegetable entomology lab and will be joining us in Jan 2013 as a Master’s student to work on solving celery insect problems. Welcome Jeremy!
Fellowships to Grad Students – June 8, 2012
Rob received the prestigious NIFA Predoctoral Fellowship from USDA to fund his research for two years and Alex received the Hutson Research Grant from MSU Entomology, to fund part of her research this summer. Congratulations to both students!

Congrats to Rob for placing 2nd in the MSU Plant Science Graduate Student Research Symposium with his 10-min presentation on the asparagus miner degree day model!
Grad Student Research Symposium at MSU – March 16, 2012
Alex and Rob will be giving 10-min research presentations in the student competition at the 10th Annual Plant Science Graduate Student Research Symposium on April 3, 2012 at MSU’s East Lansing Campus. Good luck to both of them!

Congratulations to Alex Bryant for placing 2nd at the 2011 Meeting of the Entomological Society of America, in the Grad Student Competition for the President’s Prize for her 10-minute oral presentation!

Travel Awards to ESA 2011 – Oct. 5, 2011
Alex and Rob received the Hutson Funds from MSU to support their travel to and stay at the 2011 Entomology meeting in Reno, Nevada in November. Both grad students will be presenting 10-min oral presentations in the student competition on their 2011 results. Good luck!
